Broncos quarterback Bo Nix has thrown three interceptions, but his team is in the lead for the first time all day.
Marvin Mims returned a Colts punt 60 yards to set the Broncos up on the Colts’ 15-yard-line early in the fourth quarter and Nix hit tight end Nate Adkins for a 15-yard score a couple of plays later. Wil Lutz’s extra point made it 17-13 Broncos with 13:51 left to play.
Mims also had a 27-yard return earlier in the game, so the speedy wideout has made an impression more than once on Sunday.
Two of Nix’s interceptions came in the third quarter, but the Colts didn’t turn either of them into points. Running back Jonathan Taylor dropped the ball before going into the end zone on what would have been a 41-yard touchdown run and the ball bounced out of the end zone for a touchback on one possession and wide receiver Michael Pittman Jr. lost a fumble on the other.
