The Bengals have added some cornerback depth in advance of Sunday’s opener at Baltimore.

According to Geoff Hobson of Bengals.com, the team has promoted Onterio McCalebb from the practice squad and waived defensive tackle Christo Bilukidi.

McCalebb (5-10, 175) is a converted running back who switched from offense to defense after joining the Bengals as an undrafted free agent from Auburn in 2013.

McCalebb is one of six cornerbacks on the Bengals’ roster. His signing comes one day after rookie corner Darqueze Dennard sat out practice with a hip injury. Dennard is listed as questionable on the injury report. Dennard, the club’s first-round pick in May, was able to practice on a limited basis on Wednesday and Thursday.
