The Bears made a roster move Wednesday to bring in a new running back.

The team announced that they have promoted running back Raheem Mostert from the practice squad. They waived fullback Paul Lasike on Tuesday.

Mostert has done a lot of bouncing around the league since signing with the Eagles as an undrafted free agent last year. He wound up on their practice squad before being signed to the Dolphins’ active roster and then moved on to spend time with the Ravens and Browns before the year was out. He was waived by the Browns this year and spent a short spell on the Jets practice squad before making his way to Chicago.

Mostert saw action in 11 games last year and served as a kickoff returner for Cleveland, Baltimore and Miami. Deonte Thompson has been the Bears chief returner in the first two weeks of the season.
