Arian Foster reportedly ready to roll by training camp

About a month ago, Arian Foster said he was about a month away from being back to full strength after tearing his Achilles last year.

Now, he’s sending out signals that he’s ready to find a new team.

According to Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.com, a source close to the former Texans running back said he’d be healthy for training camp and is “hungry” to regain his previous form.

Foster visited the Dolphins (who may or may not be that interested) and three other teams have reportedly inquired.

But declaring himself well is also a signal to the rest of them that he’s ready to start the job search in earnest.

Once one of the most productive dual-threat backs in the league, Foster had 47 total touchdowns from 2010 to 2012. But he’s been hurt a lot since then, with a variety of injuries costing him 23 games the last three seasons. That led the Texans to cut him this offseason and cast their lot with free agent Lamar Miller.

The 29-year-old Foster might not be in demand like he would have been a few years ago, but should still be able to help teams.
