For the second week in a row, Texans running back Arian Foster has done some things in practice.
But he’s still not ready to take the field in a game this week, despite the progress he’s made coming back from groin surgery.
“I’ve been pretty much able to do everything,” Foster said, via Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle. “I don’t feel like it’s 100 [percent] yet, but it feels really good. . . . There’s no timetable. I want to make sure it’s 100 [percent] so I don’t jeopardize my teammates or myself.”
Foster had surgery after aggravating an injury the first week of training camp. And without the Pro Bowl back, the Texans have sagged to an 0-2 start.
“It’s tough,” Foster said. “You feel like you’re an integral part of what this organization has in store for the season.”
So while he said he feels “wonderful,” he’s not ready to contribute to an offense that needs any punch it can find, with offensive line issues mounting, a revolving door at quarterback and their best receiver (DeAndre Hopkins) possibly missing this week with a concussion.
