The Buccaneers got a win last weekend without the help of safety Antoine Winfield Jr. and they’ll try to do the same against the Cowboys this Sunday.
Bucs head coach Todd Bowles told reporters on Friday that Winfield has been ruled out. Winfield has been sidelined by a knee injury.
The Bucs were also without Mike Edwards last Sunday, but he has practiced on a limited basis this week and could return to action. Christian Izien, Kaevon Merriweather, and Tykee Smith handled the safety duties in Tampa’s win over the Chargers.
Decisions about tight end Cade Otton (knee) and linebacker K.J. Britt (ankle) will be made closer to kickoff.
