Bengals quarterback Andy Dalton’s 2015 season ended on December 13, with a broken thumb suffered while making a tackle after a turnover. In his first game action since then, Dalton was crisp in a single series.

Though the effort against the Vikings ended with no points (Mike Nugent missed a 48-yard field goal to the right, Dalton completed five of six passes for 38 yards on eight snaps.

Dalton found receiver A.J. Green three times on the drive, but Dalton led Green by too much on third and three from the Minnesota 30, setting the stage for the failed three-point try.

A.J. McCarron, who replaced Dalton down the stretch and in the postseason last year, has replaced Dalton.
