Alphonso Smith has played one game this season, and he might have played it for free.

The Lions cornerback was fined $15,750 for a horse-collar tackle on Bears wide receiver Brandon Marshall Monday, according to Anwar Richardson of MLive.com.

The Lions signed him a week ago, and he’s making the prorated portion of a $615,000 annual salary. That comes to $36,176 per week, which means after Uncle Sam and the NFL’s designated charities get their cut, Smith’s not going to have much left.
