The agent for Kyle Vanden Bosch wants to dispel any rumors that his client may retire.
“I laugh when I hear that,’' Tony Agnone told the Nashville Tennessean. “Kyle hasn’t thought one iota about retiring. And if you look at all the great sack guys in the NFL . . . if you were great before you were 30 then you can be great after 30. It is kind of a joke that once you reach 30 people say you are washed up as a defensive end.’'
Agnone is convinced Vanden Bosch has played his last down in Tennessee, despite some recent comments from Jeff Fisher. The Titans haven’t reached out to discuss a contract.
At 31, Vanden Bosch should still get generous offers, even if he’s as a part-time player. He played five years for the Titans, originally signing for only $565,000 on a one-year deal.
