On this week’s edition of Hard Knocks, running back Jerome Messam was shown complaining to Dolphins General Manager Jeff Ireland that the team had just cut him without ever giving him a chance to prove what he can do on the field. Now Messam is heading back to the league where he has already proven what he can do.

Messam will return to the Edmonton Eskimos, the Canadian Football League team he played for last season, when he was a 1,000-yard rusher and named the league’s Most Outstanding Canadian.

The Dolphins hit the jackpot in 2009 when they reached into the CFL and grabbed pass rusher Cameron Wake, who has 28 sacks in three NFL seasons. But after signing Messam this year, they released him without ever giving him a preseason carry.
