While it didn’t draw the attention of last week’s absence, Vikings running back Adrian Peterson missed practice again Wednesday for what coach Leslie Frazier called personal reasons.

Frazier would not specify the reason for the absence, or whether it was related to the death of Peterson’s 2-year-old son in South Dakota last week.

It’s a personal matter for Adrian,” Frazier said, via Chris Tomasson of the St. Paul Pioneer Press. “He and I will talk later [Wednesday], but I expect him to be back [Thursday] ready to go.”

As we mentioned last week when many folks were wondering whether he should play or not, the decisions on how to get through this situation should belong to Peterson alone. And Frazier admitted it was a process his running back was going through.

“It’s a very difficult situation, without question,” Frazier said. “And it has many challenges.”

Far down the list is a early week practice for a game against the 0-6 Giants on Monday night.
