Receiver A.J. Brown hasn’t been with the Patriots for very long, as the trade bringing him to New England from Philadelphia was officially executed last month.
But he’s had enough time to get familiar with the club’s scheme, telling reporters on Monday he feels his comfort level with it is at “90 percent.”
“I’m in a pretty good spot,” Brown said, via Nicole Yang of the Boston Globe. “It’s just really about executing and being on the same page with Drake [Maye] each and every day. I’m really comfortable.”
Brown added that he likes the variety offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels provides within the system.
He also is a fan of his new quarterback, calling Maye “a true professional” with the young signal-caller’s attitude and approach to practice.
“We’ll get going as camp progresses,” Brown said. “You have to do what your quarterback likes.”
