The 49ers are moving on from one of their defensive backs.
San Francisco has waived cornerback Ambry Thomas off of injured reserve.
Thomas suffered a broken forearm in August.
A third-round pick in 2021, Thomas has appeared in 42 games with 11 starts for San Francisco. He’s recorded two interceptions with 12 passes defensed. In 15 appearances last year, Thomas was on the field for 49 percent of defensive snaps and 30 percent of special teams snaps in games played.
Additionally, the 49ers announced they’ve signed offensive lineman Austen Pleasants and linebacker Chandler Wooten to their practice squad.
Tight end Mason Pline has been placed on practice squad IR.
