Garafolo notes the contract is worth up to $3.35 million.

Hand, 29, spent the last two seasons with the Dolphins. He appeared in all 17 games for Miami with two starts in 2024, recording 31 total tackles with five for loss, four QB hits, and a sack.

He was on the field for 53 percent of Miami’s defensive snaps and 24 percent of special teams snaps.

Mike Williams spent seven seasons with the Chargers before leaving in free agency a year ago. He signed a one-year, $10 million deal with the Jets, who traded him to the Steelers on Nov. 5.

Now, Williams is headed back to Los Angeles.

He is rejoining the Chargers on a one-year deal worth up to $6 million, Jordan Schultz of Fox Sports reports.

In 2024, Williams returned from a torn ACL and made 21 receptions for 298 yards and a touchdown in 18 games. Aaron Rodgers called out Williams for running the wrong route on a target that resulted in an interception in a 23-20 loss to the Bills in Week 6.

Four weeks later, Williams was headed to Pittsburgh in exchange for a 2025 fifth-round pick.

Williams has 330 receptions for 5,104 yards and 32 touchdowns in his eight seasons and 106 games.

Linebacker Denzel Perryman’s second stint with the Chargers will extend to a second season.

The Chargers announced on Wednesday that they have agreed to a new deal with the veteran. Perryman spent his first six seasons with the club after being selected in the second round of the 2015 NFL draft and then returned to the team last year.

Perryman had 55 tackles, two tackles for loss and a sack in 11 games last season. He has 717 tackles, 7.5 sacks, five interceptions, 14 passes defensed, four forced fumbles, and three fumble recoveries over his entire career.

The Chargers have also agreed to deals with edge rusher Khalil Mack, running back Najee Harris, cornerback Donte Jackson, wide receiver Jalen Reagor, linebacker Troy Dye, defensive tackle Teair Tart, punter JK Scott, cornerback Elijah Molden, center Bradley Bozeman, and cornerback Benjamin St-Juste this week.

The Chargers are adding a cornerback.

Per agent Mike McCartney, Los Angeles has agreed to sign Benjamin St-Juste to a one-year deal.

St-Juste, 27, just completed his rookie contract with the Commanders. He was a third-round pick in the 2021 draft.

Last year, he appeared in all 17 games with 14 starts. He finished with 71 total tackles, seven passes defensed, and a forced fumble.

He was on the field for 77 percent of defensive snaps and 14 percent of special teams snaps.

The Chargers have brought back one of their receivers.

Los Angeles announced on Wednesday that the club has agreed to a contract with Jalen Reagor.

The length of the deal was not disclosed.

Reagor, 26, initially joined the Chargers on the club’s practice squad last September. He was signed to the 53-man roster in November.

He ended up appearing in eight games for the team with two starts. He caught seven passes for 100 yards and returned one kick for 22 yards.

An Eagles first-round pick in 2020, Reagor has played 64 games with 27 starts for Philadelphia, Minnesota, New England, and Los Angeles. He’s recorded 86 receptions for 1,037 yards with four touchdowns.

The Chargers are keeping one of their defensive players.

Per Ian Rapoport of NFL Media, linebacker Troy Dye has agreed to a two-year deal with Los Angeles.

Dye’s contract is worth $5.5 million with a maximum value of $8 million.

After signing a one-year contract with the Chargers a year ago, Dye appeared in all 17 games with five starts. He was a heavy special teams contributor, playing 80 percent of the unit’s snaps. But he was also on the field for 29 percent of Los Angeles’ defensive snaps last season.

He finished the year with 57 total tackles, two tackles for loss, and 1.5 quarterback hits.

A fourth-round pick in 2020, Dye played his first four seasons with the Vikings.

When reports surfaced on Monday night of running back Najee Harris’s one-year deal with the Chargers, the only number provided what that the package had a value of “up to” $9.25 million.

More details have surfaced regarding the contract.

Per a source with knowledge of the terms, Harris will receive a signing bonus of $3.75 million and a fully-guaranteed base salary of $1.5 million. That’s a base value of $5.25 million — less than the $6.7 million fifth-year option that the Steelers didn’t exercise for 2025.

The remaining $4 million comes from incentives for rushing yards. The formula isn’t yet known. Harris has rushed for more than 1,000 yards in each of his four NFL seasons. The key will be whether another 1,000-yard season gets him to, or past, the magic number of $6.7 million.

The contract also shows that the running back market isn’t fully back. The great ones will get paid. Some of the rest of them will literally have to earn it, through in-season production.

If Harris hits all of his incentives, he’ll still fall $750,000 short of $10 million. Even as the top of the market has passed $20 million for the first time.

The Bosa brothers won’t be joining forces in San Francisco, after all.

Via Adam Schefter of ESPN.com, free-agent pass rusher Joey Boey has agreed to terms with the Bills. It’s a one-year, $12.6 million deal.

The Chargers cut Bosa last week. He was due to earn a $12.36 million roster bonus on Wednesday.

The money is low, even if the interest was significant. Bosa’s production has been limited over the years by injuries, which surely impacted his market.

Regardless, he gives the Bills another key piece as they try to get back to the Super Bowl for the first time in 32 years. And, frankly, the Bills are in better position to get there than his brother Nick’s current team.

Included last week in a purge of veterans from the Jacksonville roster, veteran tight end Evan Engram is looking for a new team.

His search continued on Tuesday, with (per NFL Media) a visit to the Chargers.

Engram visited the Broncos on Monday.

A first-round pick in 2017 from Mississippi, Engram has spent five years with the Giants and three with the Jaguars. He made the Pro Bowl in 2020 and 2023.

His best season came in 2023, with 114 catches for 963 yards. Injuries limited him to nine games in 2024. He caught 47 passes for 365 yards in his final season in Jacksonville.

Will Dissly is the top tight end on the L.A. roster. He caught 50 passes for 481 yards and two touchdowns in 2024, his first year with the Chargers.
