The Cardinals have agreed to terms with defensive tackle Dalvin Tomlinson, his agency announced Wednesday. He will sign a two-year, $29 million deal with $16 million guaranteed, Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports.

The Browns designed Tomlinson as a post-June 1 release, with his departure saving the team $6.41 million against its 2025 salary cap.

Tomlinson, 31, spent two seasons with Cleveland and started 16 games both seasons. In 2024, he finished with three sacks, six tackles for loss and 18 quarterback hits.

A second-round pick of the Giants in 2017, Tomlinson has started 125 games for the Giants, Vikings and Browns.

He has totaled 19 career sacks with 36 tackles for loss and 67 quarterback hits.

The Cardinals are bringing back defensive lineman L.J. Collier on a one-year deal, the team announced Wednesday.

Collier’s return follows Roy Lopez leaving for the Lions and Khyiris Tonga going to the Patriots.

Collier, 29, has spent the past two seasons in Arizona.

He set career highs in games played (17) and sacks (3.5) a season ago in coordinator Nick Rallis’ defensive line rotation. Collier also had six quarterback hits, four tackles for loss, two pass deflections and a fumble recovery.

The Seahawks made Collier the 29th overall pick in 2019, and he appeared in 45 of a possible 66 games, starting 16. Collier signed with the Cardinals in 2023 but had a season-ending injury in his debut with the team.

In 2024, he played all 17 games, only the second time in his career he has appeared in every game.

Linebacker Mykal Walker is headed to Arizona.

According to multiple reports, Walker has agreed to terms on a contract with the Cardinals. No terms have been reported.

The Cardinals will be Walker’s fourth NFL stop. He was a 2020 Falcons fourth-round pick and played three years in Atlanta before spending the last two seasons in Pittsburgh and Washington.

While with the Commanders last season, Walker had 21 tackles in 17 regular season games. He added five more tackles in the playoffs. Most of his playing time came on special teams, but he saw more action on defense in his previous stops.

The Cardinals moved to hold onto wide receiver Greg Dortch on Wednesday.

The team confirmed that they have tendered Dortch as a restricted free agent. It’s the lowest tender, which carries a salary of $3.263 million and gives the Cardinals a right to match any offer another team makes for the wideout. They would not get any compensation if they passed on that opportunity.

Dortch joined the Cardinals in 2021 and he’s had a regular role over the last three seasons. He appeared in every game last season and had 37 catches for 342 yards and three touchdowns.

Dortch also averaged 9.6 yards per punt return.

The Cardinals also re-signed Zay Jones to go with Marvin Harrison Jr. and Michael Wilson at the top of their receiver depth chart.

The Lions are signing nose tackle Roy Lopez to a one-year, $4.65 million deal, Tom Pelissero of NFL Media reports.

Lopez, 27, spent the past two seasons with the Cardinals.

In 2024, he started 16 games and 467 defensive snaps, which was 46 percent of the team’s plays. Lopez totaled 28 tackles, one sack, three quarterback hits, three passes defensed and a forced fumble.

The Texans made Lopez a sixth-round pick in 2021, and he spent two seasons in Houston before going to Arizona.

In four seasons, Lopez has appeared in 63 games with 50 starts. He has totaled 137 tackles, three sacks, four passes defensed and a forced fumble.

The Cardinals are adding a veteran quarterback to the depth chart behind Kyler Murray.

Jeremy Fowler of ESPN reports that Jacoby Brissett plans to sign with the team once the new league year opens on Wednesday.

Brissett opened the 2024 season as the starter in New England and held the job for five games before rookie Drake Maye took over the reins of the offense. The Patriots have Joe Milton under contract and they agreed to terms with Joshua Dobbs on Monday.

Brissett was on the Commanders in 2023 and the Browns in 2022. Cardinals offensive coordinator Drew Petzing was on the Cleveland staff as the quarterbacks coach that season, so the two men will have a head start when it comes to developing a rapport this season.

Wide receiver Zay Jones will be staying in Arizona.

Jordan Schultz of Fox Sports reports that the Cardinals and Jones have agreed to a new contract. It is a one-year, $4.4 million deal for the veteran wideout.

Jones signed with Arizona last year and played in 11 games after serving a five-game suspension under the Personal Conduct Policy. He had eight catches for 84 yards in that action.

Returning to the Cardinals means that Jones will remain teammates with his brother. Vi Jones was claimed off waivers in late December and the linebacker remains on the roster.

Jones has also played for the Bills, Raiders and Jaguars. He has 295 catches for 3,112 yards and 18 touchdowns in 115 career games.

The Cardinals have agreed with linebacker Akeem Davis-Gaither on a two-year deal worth up to $11 million, Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports.

The Bengals made Davis-Gaither a fourth-round pick in 2020, and he spent his first five seasons in Cincinnati.

He played all 17 games last season with seven starts, seeing action on 534 defensive snaps and 311 on special teams. Davis-Gaither totaled 82 tackles, one interception and four passes defensed.

He served as the third linebacker behind Germaine Pratt and Logan Wilson.

In his career, Davis-Gaither has recorded 204 tackles, two interceptions, 11 passes defensed and two forced fumbles.

The Bengals agreed to a two-year deal with former Eagles linebacker Oren Burks earlier in the day.

Defensive tackle Khyiris Tonga is the latest addition to the free agent haul in New England.

Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that Tonga has agreed to a one-year deal with the Patriots. It is set to pay him $2.7 million for the 2025 season.

Tonga had 22 tackles in 13 games for the Cardinals during the 2024 season. He had 43 tackles and a half-sack in two seasons with the Vikings and 24 tackles while playing for the Bears in his rookie season.

The Patriots have also struck deals with defensive tackle Milton Williams, cornerback Carlton Davis, linebacker Robert Spillane, and offensive tackle Morgan Moses since the free agent negotiating window opened on Monday.
