    Broncos re-signed WR Phillip Dorsett.
Dorsett was released by the Broncos late last week but is now back with the team after they waived two rookie UDFAs. Dorsett, 31, will presumably get a chance to earn a spot on the 53-man roster in training camp but hasn’t done much in the league over the last several years. He appeared in just two games last season but didn’t record a catch and has caught just 27 passes since 2021.

    Broncos released WR Phillip Dorsett.
Dorsett joined the Broncos as a member of their practice squad last August and failed to record a catch in either of the two games he appeared in. Dorsett has caught just 27 passes for 367 yards and one touchdown since 2021 and has bounced around four different teams over that span. The 31-year-old speedster could catch on with another team ahead of training camp, but he won’t be expected to make much of an impact wherever he lands. In addition to Dorsett, the Broncos also released defensive tackle Rashard Lawerence.

Broncos promoted WR Michael Bandy and elevated WR Phillip Dorsett from the practice squad.
This wouldn’t seem like massive news if taken without the context of the current state of the Denver wide receiver room. Courtland Sutton has been ruled out with a concussion, Jerry Jeudy is questionable with illness, and rookie Marvin Mims is questionable with a hamstring injury. The fact that the team added two wide receivers to the active roster the day before the game seems to hint at the possibility they are planning to be without both Jeudy and Mims. Final word will come when the team releases their Week 17 inactives ahead of their late afternoon kickoff against the Chargers.

Broncos signed WR Phillip Dorsett, formerly of the Raiders, to the team’s practice squad.
Dealing with wideout injuries, the Broncos bring on Dorsett — a former first round pick — as a depth option who could soon make his way onto the team’s 53-player roster. The speedy Dorsett, 30, had eight catches for 103 yards in three preseason games for the Raiders this summer.
  • ATL Wide Receiver #16
Raiders signed Phillip Dorsett, formerly of the Texans.
Despite a dearth of talent in Houston last season, Dorsett managed just 40 targets and a 20/257/1 receiving line. Vegas needed a replacement for Mack Hollins as the designated speed threat and this may be a sign Hollins won’t return in free agency. He’s not particularly fantasy-relevant at this point, but Dorsett continues to be a solid depth speed receiver.

  • ATL Wide Receiver #16
Phillip Dorsett (hamstring) will not play in Houston’s Week 18 game against the Colts.
Thus ends another journeyman season for the 5-foot-10 speedster. The veteran went over 45 yards just once in 16 games and offers almost no special teams value. Dorsett, now 30, will be a depth option only as he enters free agency, which definitely isn’t a sentence we’ve copied and pasted to be posted about multiple Texans free agents, why are you asking us about that?

  • ATL Wide Receiver #16
Phillip Dorsett (hamstring) did not practice Friday.
Dorsett doesn’t stand much of a chance to suit up for a meaningless Week 18 game against the Colts. Brandin Cooks and Chris Moore will once again lead the Houston receivers in the season’s final game.

  • ATL Wide Receiver #16
Phillip Dorsett caught 3-of-6 passes for 14 yards in Houston’s Week 17 loss to the Jaguars.
He dropped a wide-open pass in the flat that could have gotten the Texans to at least first-and-goal, if not scored a touchdown. In his defense, it’s impossible to catch balls that Jeff Driskel throws. Dorsett led the Texans in yardage last week and was second in targets this week. He’s been a little more involved than Chris Moore of late if you’re stacking up Texans receivers for Week 18 against the Colts.

  • ATL Wide Receiver #16
Phillip Dorsett caught 3-of-3 targets for 45 yards in Houston’s Week 16 win over Tennessee.
It was his highest yardage total since Week 9. Despite leading the team in yardage, he had just three targets. Dorsett remains a sickos-only play in Week 17 against the Jaguars.

  • ATL Wide Receiver #16
Phillip Dorsett caught 2-of-3 targets for 18 yards in Houston’s Week 14 loss to Dallas.
With the Texans surprisingly in control of the game script in this one, their No. 3 wideout didn’t get much run. Dorsett will be a sickos-only play in Week 15 against the Chiefs.
