A JUCO import in 2017, Hoskins was a big contributor in 2018. He ran into academic issues firstly and injury issues secondly in 2019, ultimately finishing below the five-game threshold the NCAA now uses to determine redshirt status. Hoskins has already graduated but has stated he intends to return instead of transferring.

Fortunately for the Wildcats, Hoskins didn’t play at Highland C.C. this year, instead using a redshirt year. Because of that, he has three years to play three seasons in Lexington. “For a defensive end - primarily a 3-4 defensive end - he’s got good pass rushing potential,” noted 247Sports. “He has to prove he has the requisite strength to hold up in the trenches in the SEC but spending a year in the UK weight program should go a long way.”
