Dolphins selected California S Patrick McMorris with the No. 198 overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft.
McMorris played at California in 2023 after four seasons at San Diego State. He totaled four interceptions and 23 defended passes over his five collegiate seasons, sometimes used as a slot cover man in 2023. NFL.com’s Lance Zierlein said McMorris’ “speed and acceleration are fairly average in coverage” and that his “missed tackles don’t really square with his frame and the way he plays the game.” McMorris profiles as a special teams player in Miami.
