WR J.R. Russel, G Matt Stinchcomb, T Chris Colmer, S Donte Nicholson were among the other inactives. No major surprises.
  • NO Wide Receiver
WR Paris Warren is among the team’s inactive’s this week.
J.R. Russell, Matt Stinchcomb, and safety Dexter Jackson are among the inactives. No fantasy implications.
  • NO Wide Receiver
Bucs signed seventh-round pick WR Paris Warren to a five-year contract.
Warren was Alex Smith’s favorite target at Utah. He’s in a crowded Bucs receiver group.
  • ATL Coaching Staff
Buccaneers WR Ike Hilliard started over Maurice Stovall on Saturday night and had one grab for 14 yards.
The competition for the number two spot seems to be wide open. Maurice Stovall caught one pass for 10 yards and Michael Clayton caught two for 24 yards. David Boston played and ran an end-around for 18 yards, while Paris Warren caught three passes for 24 yards and a TD.
  • TEN Wide Receiver
Mark Jones is likely to make the Bucs as a kick returner.
More bad news for Michael Clayton, who’s fallen behind Ike Hilliard, David Boston, and Maurice Stovall on the depth chart. Paris Warren also could stick after a productive preseason. Clayton appears to be the odd man out.
  • NO Wide Receiver
Paris Warren caught seven passes for 110 yards and two TDs in the Bucs’ Thursday night preseason win over Houston, before breaking his leg.
He may have been earning a roster spot before the injury. Now, Warren’s done for the year. Michael Clayton (2-25), Maurice Stovall (1-15), Ike Hilliard (0-0), and David Boston (1-5) were quiet. Stovall also had a drop that won’t help his chances of starting. Clayton, Stovall, and Warren opened up as starters in a three wideout set.
  • BAL Tight End
Buccaneers relased TE Keith Heinrich, LB Jamie Winborn, DT Ellis Wyms, DT Darrell Campbell, CB Marcus Hamilton, CB Carlos Hendricks (waived/injured), DE Julian Jenkins, WR Mark Jones, TE C.J. Leak, WR Chad Lucas, G/C Enoka Lucas, LB Jerry Mackey, S Donte Nicholson, T Dennis Roland and FB Byron Storer. WR Paris Warren, T Chris Denman, and WR Chas Gessner were all waived with injuries.
Jones was expected to return punts and possibly kickoffs. It’s unclear who will inherit those duties.
  • NO Wide Receiver
Bucs WR Paris Warren says his rehab from a dislocated ankle and broken leg is ahead of schedule and expects to be ready for OTAs.
Warren appeared to be emerging as a sleeper to be the Bucs’ starting flanker late in the 2007 preseason before the injury. He’ll likely need to be 100 percent just to have a spot on the active roster next season.
  • NO Wide Receiver
Bucs re-signed WR Paris Warren to a one-year, $510,000 contract.
Warren, who’s recovering from a broken leg, nearly earned a roster spot last preseason before getting hurt. The Bucs figure to address wide receiver in the draft and/or free agency, so he isn’t a good bet to make the club.
  • NO Wide Receiver
Saints signed WR Paris Warren, formerly of the Buccaneers.
Once an exciting Bucs practice player, Warren hasn’t been the same since fracturing his leg and ankle two preseasons ago. He won’t make the club.
