    Redskins waived RB P.J. Hill.
The power back out of Wisconsin has bounced around the practice squads of the Redskins, Eagles and Saints since going undrafted last season. His only chance at an NFL role is as a short-yardage specialist.
  • NO Running Back
Saints claimed RB P.J. Hill off waivers from the Redskins.
Hill signed with the Saints out of Wisconsin last offseason, but he was plucked off the practice squad by the Eagles in October. Keep an eye on Hill’s progress this summer, as he has the potential to vulture short-yardage duties if he makes the team. He’ll battle Lynell Hamilton for the role.
  • NO Running Back
Lynell Hamilton will join the Saints rookies and tryout candidates at this weekend’s rookie minicamp.
The Saints remain high on the 6'0/235 bruiser who spent all of last season on the practice squad. He’s battling undrafted rookies P.J. Hill and Herb Donaldson for a roster spot, with the slim possibility of filling Deuce McAllister’s old power role.
  • FA Running Back #36
Saints signed Western Illinois RB Herb Donaldson to a three-year contract.
The Saints were able to outbid seven other teams by handing out the three-year deal. The bowling-ball runner will compete for a roster spot and could emerge as a short-yardage and goal-line option down the line.
  • NO Running Back
Saints agreed to terms with Wisconsin RB P.J. Hill.
Hill was injury-prone and lacked pass catching skills at Wisconsin, but he has potential as a short-yardage back if he can make the roster. Originally expected to be a late-round selection, two recent DUI arrests kept him off draft boards. If this is the best New Orleans can do, Pierre Thomas is safe.
  • NO Running Back
Wisconsin RB P.J. Hill is expected to settle his DUI case with a plea bargain next month.
Hill will reportedly have his license temporarily revoked, but it sounds like the more serious DUI charge will be dismissed. According to the Wisconsin State Journal, Hill is also facing a separate DUI charge in Arizona. We’d be surprised if he gets drafted at all considering the latter news.
  • FA Wide Receiver #87
Saints waived WR Adrian Arrington, KR Skyler Green, RB P.J. Hill, TE Martrez Milner, DT DeMario Pressley, WR Courtney Roby, and LB Anthony Waters.
Waters lost out to undrafted free agent Jonathan Casillas. Arrington is an exciting practice player when healthy, but missed most of camp with a Grade 2 tear of his hamstring. He has practice squad eligibility left.
  • NO Running Back
    Eagles waived RB P.J. Hill.
This may be another sign that the Birds are confident Brian Westbrook (concussions) will return this week. Hill was on the roster for five weeks, but was a healthy scratch for every game. He has practice squad eligibility.
  • NO Running Back
Eagles signed RB P.J. Hill off the Saints’ practice squad.
The move is an indication that Brian Westbrook (concussion) probably won’t play this week. Hill, an undrafted rookie power back from Wisconsin, would then act as the Birds’ No. 3 RB behind LeSean McCoy and Eldra Buckley.
  • NO Running Back
Redskins signed RB P.J. Hill off the Eagles practice squad.
None of the Redskins backs (Quinton Ganther, Rock Cartwright, Marcus Mason) are known to be injured, so the ‘Skins may just want to see if Hill is a short-yardage option for next season.
