    Giants released EDGE Oshane Ximines.
Ximines became expendable after the Giants went out and acquired EDGE Carlos “Boogie” Basham from the Bills. Ximines was selected by the Giants in the third round of the 2019 NFL Draft and has totaled 6.5 sacks in 45 career games. Given the value of EDGE rushers in the NFL, it won’t be surprising to see Ximines catch on with another team.
  • NE Linebacker #53
Giants re-signed EDGE Oshane Ximines to a one-year contract.
The Giants took Ximines in the third round in 2019. He posted an impressive season as a rookie, totaling 4.5 sacks as a rotational pass-rusher. However, injuries cost him 18 games over the next two years. He returned for a solid season in 2022, notching a pair of sacks and three TFLs over 15 games. Ximines will return for a part-time role on the Giants’ defense this year.

  • Wide Receiver #38
Giants placed WR John Ross and DL Oshane Ximines on the reserve/COVID list.
Ross would provide Mike Glennon with a rotational deep threat option against the Cowboys, but he will miss Week 15. Ross is off the fantasy radar, especially with the Giants considering giving Jake Fromm snaps at quarterback.

  • NE Linebacker #53
Giants signed third-round DE Oshane Ximines to a four-year contract.
The deal will be finalized Monday when training camp opens for rookies and select veterans. Selected with one of the picks New York acquired from Cleveland in the Odell Beckham trade, Ximines arrives on the heels of a standout tenure at Old Dominion that included, among other accomplishments, 176 career tackles, 32.5 sacks and a pair of all-conference nods.
  • NE Linebacker #53
Giants selected Old Dominion DE Oshane Ximines with the No. 95 overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft.
Ximines (6’4/253) was a four-year starter on the ODU defensive line, earning first-team All-Conference USA in each of his final two seasons and graduating with school records in sacks (33), TFLs (51.5), and forced fumbles (11). PFF College gave Ximines its top C-USA edge-defender grade in 2018, crediting him with 55 QB pressures and 39 run stops, and he exhibited NFL-level athleticism with a 4.78 forty and 7.13 three cone at the Combine. Lauded for his leadership skills and work ethic, Ximines’ college tape reveals a pro-caliber pass rusher who probably won’t make an impact on early downs but has obvious value in a pass-first league.
