Thompson, a converted defensive lineman, worked solely at left tackle in camp. His activation may be a sign that the Packers are having doubts about Chad Clifton (ankle) for Sunday. Clifton was listed as probable Friday.

Packers waived OT Orrin Thompson and activated WR Koren Robinson from the reserve/suspended list.

The Pack somewhat surprisingly took no time to make this move, despite being on a bye in Week 7. They apparently believe Robinson is in good enough shape to contribute immediately. Thompson, a developmental converted defensive lineman, should make it back to the practice squad.

Giants signed QB Andre Woodson, WRs Taye Biddle and WR Micah Rucker, OG Mike Fladell, OT Cliff Louis, TE Martrez Milner, SS Travonti Johnson, RB Dwayne Wright, and OT Orrin Thompson to reserve/future contracts.

The Jints don’t take these signings lightly. Milner and Wright are both former fourth-round picks with some potential. Woodson, their sixth-rounder a year ago, had a miserable 2008 preseason. His confidence may be shot.
