Justin Fargas ran for 55 yards on 12 carries at Saturday’s scrimmage.
Daunte Culpepper completed 6-of-14 passes for 74 yards and a touchdown strike. Andrew Walter ran the first-team offense but reportedly performed poorly. Rookie fullback Oren O’Neal saw action in short-yardage situations.

Raiders signed sixth-round FB Oren O’Neal to a multi-year contract.
O’Neal’s addition likely means the end of Zack Crockett’s time in Oakland. The Arkansas State product should make the team behind Justin Griffith.

Raiders coach Lane Kiffin revealed that FB Oren O’Neal’s knee injury is career threatening. O’Neal will go on injured reserve, ending his season.
Reconstructive surgery sounds like a certainty. Kiffin said “it was as bad as it can get” and TV viewers are lucky O’Neal’s injury wasn’t caught on film.
  • LV Running Back
Raiders FB Oren O’Neal was helped off the field with a leg injury on the opening kickoff of Saturday night’s preseason game against the Cardinals.
O’Neal will likely be out awhile as the injury appeared to be of the serious variety.

Raiders coach Lane Kiffin expects FB Oren O’Neal (knee) to miss the season.
Justin Griffith is Oakland’s starter, but O’Neal possess more lead blocking potential. O’Neal would’ve made the team, so this is no small loss.

Raiders selected Arkansas State FB Oren O’Neal with the No. 175 overall pick in the NFL Draft.

Raiders FB Oren O’Neal (reconstructive knee surgery) has declared himself ready to go for training camp.
O’Neal’s injury was said to be career threatening, and he’s expected to be held back to one practice a day. With Lorenzo Neal now in the fold, the Raiders will likely bring O’Neal along slowly.

Raiders waived/injured FB Oren O’Neal (ankle).
O’Neal has rarely been healthy since being drafted in the 2007 sixth round. Oakland will ride H-back Luke Lawton in the fullback role the rest of the way.
