Vikings OT Olisaemeka Udoh suffered a season-ending quad injury in the team’s Week 2 loss to the Eagles.
Udoh started at left tackle for the Vikings in Thursday night’s contest in place of the injured Christian Darrisaw. Despite his injury, Darrisaw was active for last night’s game, which should be an indicator that he’ll be ready to go in Week 3 when the Vikings take on the Chargers.

Vikings selected Elon OT Oli Udoh with the No. 193 overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft.
Udoh (6’6/323) was a four-year starting tackle at small-school Elon, earning second-team FCS All-American and first-team All-Colonial Athletic Association in 2018. A truly massive individual from a huge family, Udoh arrived as a freshman weighing 380 pounds and has a 6-foot-8 grandmother. Udoh helped himself with 61st-percentile athleticism at the Combine, also measuring in with vine-like 35 3/8-inch arms and has obvious length to engulf defensive linemen. A right tackle throughout his college career, Udoh is a sleeper to develop into a starter at any of the four front-five positions save center.

The Athletic’s Dane Brugler has Elon T Oli Udoh ranked as the No. 10 “small school” player in the draft.
Brugler labels Udoh (6'5/323) as “A mammoth square blocker.” He concedes that Udoh may struggle with “edge speed” but that his “baseline talent” is evident. As a raw, small school prospect he requires some development by a team. His draft cost is likely worth the potential upside as a Day 3 selection.

NFL Media analyst Lance Zierlein compared Elon T Oli Udoh to Oakland Raiders T David Sharpe.
Udoh is one of the more intriguing “small school” prospects in this class, and the 6-foot-5, 323-pound tackle held his own at the combine. Zierlein notes he “Has feet for early mirror work to counter two-way rushers,” and that he flashes some “nasty” when finishing blocks. Quickness is a concern, however, and he also cites that Udoh struggles to hit his “landmarks” for blocks. “There are exploitable holes in his pass sets for the NFL,” writes Zierlein, “but his size, length and potential for improvement in that phase are worthy of taking a shot on as a Day 3 draft-and-develop prospect that might require a year on the practice squad.”
  • NO Tackle #74
Elon T Oli Udoh measured in at 6-foot-5 and 1/2-inch and 323-pounds at the NFL Scouting Combine on Wednesday.
That’s the same height he measured at the Senior Bowl, but it’s down 13 pounds from what he weighed at Mobile. Udoh is considered one of the sleeper prospects in this class, and might be the first FCS lineman drafted if he tests well in Indianapolis as well as his pro day.
  • NO Tackle #74
The Draft Network’s Jon Ledyard forwards Elon T Oli Udoh as an offensive line sleeper to watch at the NFL Scouting Combine.
“I don’t know that Udoh will test at an elite level or anything, but once teams see his frame, they are going to want to see if they can get the most out of him at the NFL level,” Ledyard writes of the 6-foot-5, 336-pound Elon lineman. The analyst believes that Udoh has a chance to come out of the combine with his stock on the rise. He earlier took part in both the East-West Shrine Game and the Reese’s Senior Bowl.
  • NO Tackle #74
The Draft Network’s Joe Marino lists Elon T Olisaemeka Udoh as one of the winners from the practices ahead of the East-West Shrine Game.
Marino writes that Udoh had an “incredible” week, and he certainly wasn’t the only analyst who came away impressive with the 6-foot-5, 336-pound tackle. “His long arms, mobility and power were on full display during 1v1s and he shined in an overall underwhelming offensive line group,” Marino writes. Udoh earned a promotion to the Senior Bowl for his work in St. Petersburg, and if he keeps impressing there, his draft stock is going to improve exponentially.
  • NO Tackle #74
Elon redshirt senior OL Olisaemeka Udoh accepted an invitation to the East-West Shrine Game.
Huge spot for the 6-foot-5, 336-pound Udoh, here, as he’s considered one of the top FCS draft prospects on the offensive line. The Shrine Game can serve as a springboard for small-school pro hopefuls such as himself. While he has been plying his trade as a tackle at Elon, Hero Sports’ Sam Herder sees him as a likely guard at the NFL level. The all-conference standout has accepted an invitation to the NFLPA Collegiate Bowl in addition to the Shrine Game as he looks to boost his profile. Draft Analyst’s Tony Pauline views Udoh as a raw developmental prospect who could see a late Day 3 selection if the process breaks right for him.
