  • BUF Guard #64
Bills selected Florida G O’Cyrus Torrence with the No. 59 overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft.
Originally signing with his hometown school, Louisiana, Torrence (6'5/330) started his first three years of college for the Ragin’ Cajuns. Despite the low level of competition, he was widely considered a prospect destined for the first two rounds. Instead, Torrence entered the transfer portal, landing at Florida, to show evaluators his abilities against the SEC. In his final college season, he protected Anthony Richardson to the tune of zero sacks and zero QB hits allowed, earning an overall grade of 88.0 from PFF. While his 6.15 RAS may be uninspiring, his large frame, wide hands, and long arms suggest he shouldn’t have any problem operating from the phone booth at the next level. Torrence rarely loses the body leverage battle and will need to leverage that size to overcome some of his more technical deficiencies. He may struggle with hand leverage at times due to his struggles in lateral movement, but he is savvy enough that he can win the play without winning with his hands. A team that does not require a ton of movement from their interior linemen will be more than happy to utilize Torrence at the point of attack and simply bulldoze through defensive fronts.

Florida junior OL O’Cyrus Torrence is considered among the best interior offensive linemen in the nation heading into the 2022 season.
The Gators got a good one when the landed the right guard Torrence (6'5/347) out of Louisiana last year. Torrence has risen to the occasion after moving from a smaller conference to a bigger one, and that’s something that has shown in his play. Anthony Treash of Pro Football Focus recently released his interior offensive linemen rankings, listing Torrence as the No. 3 IOL in the nation, second only to Andrew Vorhees and Jarrett Patterson.

  • BUF Guard #64
Former Louisiana sophomore RG O’Cyrus Torrence transferred to Florida.
It’s a great pickup for the Gators, as Torrence was First Team All-Sun Belt this year, and he was on the Second Team last year, so it’s clear Torrence is a top lineman in college football. Torrence reunites with former head coach Billy Napier and he’ll immediately solidify the line. The transfer portal gives and takes, and this one was a fantastic take for Florida.

  • BUF Guard #64
Louisiana sophomore RG O’Cyrus Torrence has entered the transfer portal.
Torrence (6'5/332) hitting the transfer portal could mark a big loss for Louisiana and new head coach Michale Desormeaux, as Torrence started every game at right guard for the Ragin’ Cajuns in 2021. Per Pro Football Focus, Torrence one of the top guards in the nation, receiving an overall grade on the year of 88.2, while excelling in both run blocking and pass blocking. On 807 offensive snaps, he allowed just five quarterback pressures and no sacks on the season, which should make him one of the more coveted offensive linemen now in the portal. Per 247Sports.com, Torrence is now the highest-rated interior offensive lineman in the portal, and could consider rejoining former head coach Billy Napier at Florida.
