Titans K Nick Folk (abdomen) will not play in Week 17 against the Jaguars.
Matthew Wright was signed to the Titans practice this week and will kick for the Titans on Sunday. Fantasy managers should look elsewhere for streaming upside.

Titans declared K Nick Folk, LB Jerome Baker, WR Jha’Quan Jackson, CB Tre Avery, RB Joshua Kelley, CB Gabe Jeudy-Lally, and LB Luke Gifford inactive for Week 16 against the Colts
Folk entered the weekend questionable with an abdomen injury and will remain out for the team’s Week 16 game against the Colts. Kicker Brayden Narveson was signed off the practice squad to kick in Folk’s place. Linebacker Luke Gifford (concussion) is the other injury inactive for the Titans.

Titans K Nick Folks (abdomen) is questionable for Week 16 against the Colts.
Head coach Brian Callahan called Folk a game-time call. The veteran kicker has had a few spike weeks with the Titans but could miss Week 16 with an abdomen injury that is likely an extension of the groin issue he dealt with in previous games. The risk isn’t worth the reward for fantasy purposes. Brayden Narveson would take his place in the lineup if Folk sits.

Titans coach Brian Callahan said K Nick Folk “should be good to go” for Week 15 against the Bengals.
Folk has been dealing with a groin injury this week but hasn’t missed a game due to the injury. The 40-year-old kicker has converted on 21-of-22 field goals this season while making all 22 of his extra point attempts and should be available for Week 15’s game against the Bengals.

Brayden Narveson made three field goals including a game-winner with no time left against the Seahawks on Saturday in a preseason battle.
Narveson is currently battling Nick Folk for the starting kicking job, and while Folk is considered the favorite, Narveson may have changed things a bit Saturday night. Not only did he hit the game-winner from 46 yards away, he also made one from 59 yards out on top of a chip shot from 21 yards out. Even if Narveson doesn’t win the Titans job, there’s sure to be interest in his leg if he were to hit the waiver wire.

Titans agreed to terms with K Nick Folk on a one-year, $3.8 million contract.
Folks joined the Titans on a one-year deal last offseason and proceeded to put up the best numbers of his career. He led the NFL with a 96.7 percent hit rate on field goals. His only miss on 30 attempts came on a try from over 50 yards out. Folk also handled kickoff duties for Tennessee. Even at 39 years old, Folk is one of the most accurate legs in the NFL.

NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero reports K Nick Folk is expected to test the free agent market.
Folk led the league in field goal conversion rate over the previous four seasons, including going 29-for-30 in field goal attempts in 2023 as a member of the Titans. He should garner significant interest from teams in need of a veteran presence at kicker once the new league year begins.

Patriots traded K Nick Folk to the Titans for a 2025 seventh-round pick.
Folk lost the kicker battle to rookie fourth-rounder Chad Ryland and is now on the way to Tennessee. The 38-year-old vet converted 32-of-37 field goals for the Patriots last season and has converted 82.9 percent of field goals for his career. For now, the Titans’ kicker woes are solved after they tried multiple ways to solidify the position in camp.

ESPN’s Mike Reiss writes it is “hard to imagine” Nick Folk beating out rookie fourth-rounder Chad Ryland for the Patriots kicker job.
Folk could be available for a better offense to pick up at some point this offseason, perhaps via trade, but more likely as a release. We’re a little surprised Reiss is this down on Folk’s chances of winning the job, but it speaks highly of what he’s heard the Patriots think about Ryland.

Patriots are working out K Tristan Vizcaino.
New England is likely hammering out an emergency list of kickers in case starter Nick Folk -- second in the league last year with 36 field goals -- misses time in 2022. Vizcaino was waived by the Chargers last October after missing five of ten extra point attempts.
