Baker Mayfield and the Buccaneers lead the NFC South after four straight wins, with their most recent victory coming against the Chargers in Week 15. Mayfield threw 22-of-27 for 288 yards, and 4 touchdowns. With 32 touchdown passes this season, Mayfield ranks third in the league behind Joe Burrow (36) and Lamar Jackson (34).
The Buccaneers offense exploded for 40 points with 506 yards of total offense in Sunday’s win. WR Mike Evans set season highs in both receptions (9) and receiving yards (159) , while rookie RB Bucky Irving tallied 15 carries for 117 yards. Irving leads all NFL rookies in rushing yards (852) and scrimmage yards (1,148) this season.
The Buccaneers, who have made the playoffs in each of the last four years, are seeking their fourth straight NFC South title and could set a franchise record with a fifth straight playoff appearance this season.

Dallas Cowboys:
The Cowboys (6-8) have won three of their last four games, but with Dak Prescott out for the season, the team is expected to miss the playoffs for the first time since 2020. All eyes are on head coach Mike McCarthy, who is in the final year of his five-year contract. While there are many questions surrounding his future, owner and GM Jerry Jones has been vocal in his support of McCarthy. In an interview with 105.3 earlier this week, Jones expressed that McCarthy “has shown that his team can handle adversity.”
The Cowboys have struggled to win at home; since the end of the 2023 regular season, they’ve won just one game at AT&T Stadium (Week 13 against the Giants). Their record at home this season is 1-7.
