The Athletic’s Bruce Feldman passes along that Ole Miss senior CB Myles Hartsfield recorded a 4.46-second 40-yard dash this offseason.
Hartsfield (5'11/216) checks onto Feldman’s annual list of college football “freaks” at No. 38. In addition to his hot wheels, the senior defensive back logged a 39-inch vertical jump and a 132-inch broad jump in testing this spring. He brings it not only with the speed and leaps, but also as a strongman, capable of squatting 524 pounds and cleaning 335 pounds. Hartsfield has been steady as a metronome at Ole Miss, never recording fewer than 40 tackles -- and never more than 45 -- in a season. He posted seven passes defended during the past campaign.
