The Colts may sign a kicker later this week because of Mike Vanderjagt’s hamstring strain.
Vanderjagt will be questionable for week five. His fantasy owners should look at alternatives and may get stuck carrying two kickers this weekend.
  • IND Kicker (FG)
ESPN.com reports the Colts are now expected to retain Mike Vanderjagt.
He has a big salary and mouth, but the Colts have reportedly decided against letting him go.
  • IND Kicker (FG)
Mike Vanderjagt is likely to be released this offseason.
He’s willing to restructure his big cap number ($2.9 million), but the Colts appear to be sick of his comments. Whoever is Indy’s kicker is immediatley a top fantasy kicker.
  • IND Kicker (FG)
Mike Vanderjagt didn’t kick in Monday night’s game after pulling his groin in pregame warmups.
Scott Suisham will kick for Dallas instead. Vandy was shown missing kicks from extra point distance because of the pain.
  • IND Kicker (FG)
Mike Vanderjagt (groin) may not kick until the regular season.
There have been rumors Vanderjagt is in danger of being released by the team. We don’t recommend drafting him in fantasy leagues right now.
  • IND Kicker (FG)
Mike Vanderjagt says he could have kicked Monday night if it was a regular season game.
As much as we hate to change kicker projections, Vandy has been inconsistent and occasionally injured during camp. There’s no sense drafting injured kickers too early.
  • IND Kicker (FG)
Mike Vanderjagt is inactive for Week 1.
Shaun Suisham will kick today for Dallas. Vandy better get healthy fast or risk getting cut.
  • IND Kicker (FG)
Mike Vanderjagt did not make the trip to Jacksonville for Sunday’s game.
Though Vandy practiced all week, Shaun Suisham will be the Cowboys’ kicker Sunday. Dallas may cut one of their kickers before Week 2.
  • IND Kicker (FG)
Bill Parcells said he’s concerned about Mike Vanderjagt mentally.
“Sure. I need to see more out of him in practice... I don’t have a degree in psychology... Through the summer, there’s been quite a bit of inconsistency.” Parcells tellingly said Vanderjagt was cleared by trainers.
  • IND Kicker (FG)
Mike Vanderjagt, questionable with a groin injury, practiced Wednesday.
We still wouldn’t start him in any leagues. ILB Bradie James (groin) and LT Flozell Adams (calf) are also questionable for Week 1.
