  • SEA EDGE
Seahawks selected Michigan EDGE Mike Morris with the No. 151 overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft.
Morris (6’5/275) wins with power and deploys an aggressive long-arm technique to win on the outside. 427 of his 720 total collegiate snaps have come in passing situations so Morris can pin his ears back and unleash his ferocious bull rush. Though he barely saw the field in his first two seasons in Ann Arbor, Morris put it all together in 2022 when he posted 11.0 TFL and 7.5 sacks en route to being named the Big Ten Defensive Lineman of the Year. A power edge prospect who sets a hard edge, the Michigan DE has the power to drive tackles backward and a nice long-arm technique to help him disengage. His biggest problem with his NFL projection stems from an uninspiring NFL Scouting Combine performance where he ran a disappointing 4.95 40-yard dash with poor agility drills and jumps for a combined 4.72 RAS. He isn’t going to bend the edge with dexterity or win any track meets, but Morris has the size for 3-4 work with an athletic profile similar to Wisconsin DL Isaiah Loudermilk.
