Bengals declared CB Mike Hilton, WR Trent Irwin, EDGE Cedric Johnson, TE Tanner McLachlan, TE Tanner Hudson and DT Sheldon Rankins inactive for Week 5 against the Ravens.
Slot man Hilton (knee) was injured in Week 4. He’s a big loss any week, but a little less so vs. the run-focused Ravens.
  • CIN Defensive Back #21
Bengals CB Mike Hilton (knee) did not practice Wednesday.
The Bengals’ primary slot corner suffered a knee injury in Week 4 versus the Panthers but played through it. That suggests he could suit up this week despite a limited practice regimen. Hilton has 12 combined tackles this year. Defensive tackle Sheldon Rankins remained sideline for Wednesday’s practice.

Benagls declared CB Mike Hilton, CB Jalen Davis, OT D’Ante Smith, OL Jackson Carman, TE Hayden Hurst, and DE Trey Hendrickson inactive for Week 15 against the Bucs.
Hilton’s absence should be a boon for Chris Godwin in the slot. Meanwhile, Hayden Hurst will miss another game with a calf injury, and Mitchell Wilcox should function as the Bengals’ primary pass-catching tight end. Wilcox is a last-ditch streaming play.

  • CIN Cornerback #21
Bengals CB Mike Hilton (knee) is out for Week 15 against the Bucs.
The Bengals could also be without CB Jalen Davis, who has a finger injury and will be a game-time decision against Tampa. Hilton’s absence could be a boon for Tom Brady and Chris Godwin in an otherwise ugly matchup.

  • CIN Cornerback #21
Bengals CB Mike Hilton (finger) is out for Week 9 against the Panthers.
Hilton and CB Chidobe Awuzie -- out for the year with an ACL injury -- will miss this week’s game against Carolina. It’s certainly a boon for P.J. Walker and D.J. Moore, whose fantasy appeal has been revived in recent weeks while dominating targets and air yards in the Panthers offense.

  • CIN Cornerback #21
Bengals signed CB Mike Hilton, formerly of the Steelers, to a four-year, $24 million contract.
The Steelers’ primary slot man the past four seasons, Hilton played 2020 on a restricted free agent tender. Hilton’s play has declined after he came into the league guns blazing, but the Bengals needed a permanent answer in the middle of the field after mixing and matching in 2020. 2021 will be the age-27 campaign for the 5-foot-9 Hilton. The Steelers have lost a nontrivial amount of defensive talent in free agency.

  • CIN Cornerback #21
Steelers declared CB Mike Hilton, DT Isaiah Buggs, QB Josh Dobbs, RB Anthony McFarland and LB Jayrone Elliott inactive for Week 10 against the Bengals.
Hilton’s absence in the slot boosts Tyler Boyd’s matchup for today’s tough matchup. All four players that spent time on the COVID-19 list this week — Ben Roethlisberger, Vince Williams, Jaylen Samuels and Jerald Hawkins — are active.

  • CIN Cornerback #21
Steelers re-signed CB Mike Hilton to a one-year, $3.259 million deal.
Hilton was a restricted free agent tendered at the second-round level. His window to sign an offer sheet elsewhere long ago closed, so this was his only recourse. The Steelers’ nickel corner, Hilton should again find himself in the 600-700 snap range this upcoming season.

  • CIN Cornerback #21
Steelers extended a second-round tender to restricted free agent CB Mike Hilton.
It will cost the Steelers $3.3 million. Hilton will very likely return to Pittsburgh after starting eight games in 2019. The former undrafted free agent is beginning to emerge as a useful nickel corner, particularly showing promise against the run. Hilton had a career-high 65 tackles and 11 passes defended last season.

Steelers re-signed CB Mike Hilton to a one-year, $645,000 contract.
Hilton was always expected to sign his one-year tender considering he had no leverage against the team as an exclusive rights free agent. He’s appeared in 31 games over two seasons for Pittsburgh, notching three interceptions, 14 pass breakups, five sacks, and 13 quarterback hits. He’s eyeing a substantial long-term agreement if he continues standing out in ’19.
