    Dolphins signed P Michael Palardy.
Palardy, born and raised in South Florida, was cut by the Panthers last week. He’ll take over as Miami’s punter with Matt Haack scheduled to become a free agent next week. Palardy missed the 2020 season after tearing his ACL in a pickup basketball game.

  • Panthers released P Michael Palardy.
Releasing Palardy saves the team $1.9 million against the cap. The veteran punter missed the entire 2020 season with an injury.

  • Panthers placed P Michael Palardy (knee) on the reserve/non-football injury list.
Palardy tore his ACL this offseason but “hoped to kick through it.” Of course, the ACL does seem like an important body part for an NFL kicker, so he’ll instead have surgery and miss the 2020 season. He’s under contract through the 2021 season.

  • Panthers signed P Michael Palardy to a three-year, $7.52 million extension through 2021.
A 2014 UDFA, Palardy has been the Panthers’ punter since midway through the 2016 season. He’s been a mainstay in the top 10 in net punting average since. Palardy turned 26 in July.
