    Seahawks waived WR Michael Bumpus.
Bumpus, 23, has good hands and can handle punts, but lacks big-play ability. He’ll be on speed dial in case Seattle encounters injuries at wide receiver.
  • SEA Wide Receiver
Rookie Michael Bumpus caught two passes for 29 yards and a touchdown in the Seahawks’ Week 3 win over the Rams. He also lost a fumble.
Bumpus, who went undrafted in April, worked the slot and saw three targets from Matt Hasselbeck. That’s Bobby Engram position, and with Engram (shoulder) due back after the Week 4 bye, Bumpus will go back to the bench.
  • SEA Wide Receiver
Koren Robinson is already listed as the Seahawks’ starting split end on the team’s latest depth chart. Courtney Taylor is still at flanker.
Undrafted rookie Michael Bumpus is listed behind Taylor, but figures to start Week 3 in the slot, making him a deep sleeper against St. Louis. Robinson, Billy McMullen, and Keary Colbert are all going to play on Sunday, limiting K-Rob’s upside, but it’s clear the Seahawks see Robinson as a potential go-to option right away. At this point, they don’t really have a choice.
  • SEA Wide Receiver
Michael Bumpus ran as Seattle’s starting slot receiver in Week 2. He replaced Samie Parker on the roster; Parker was released.
Bumpus, an undrafted rookie who just came off the practice squad this week, also returned punts and caught two passes for nine yards. He could play a bigger role in Week 3 due to Logan Payne’s season-threatening knee injury.
  • SEA Wide Receiver
Rookie Michael Bumpus has take over as Seattle’s primary punt return man.
Bumpus is also Bobby Engram’s backup at the Y, or slot position on offense.
  • SEA Wide Receiver
    Seahawks released WR/PR Michael Bumpus.
Bumpus was the low man on the totem pole at wide receiver, and it looks like the team wants to give Justin Forsett a shot at the return role. The Seahawks will sign him to their practice squad if he clears waivers.
  • SEA Wide Receiver
Seahawks signed WR Michael Bumpus, TE Joe Newton, CB Marquis Floyd, WR Billy McMullen, LS Ryan Senser, DT Kevin Brown, and TE John Tereshinski to reserve/future contracts.
Bumpus and McMullen saw action for Seattle in 2008 due to injuries ahead of them. Bumpus can play the slot and return punts, but lacks much upside.
