Bears signed LSU LB Micah Baskerville.
Baskerville (6’1/221) saw run as a reserve for the Tigers as a freshman and sophomore before earning a starting role in each of the next three years. He notched 83 tackles with nine TFLs in 2021 and followed that up with 89 tackles and 4.5 TFLs in his final season. Playing inside linebacker in 2022, Baskerville also showed well in coverage, defending eight passes. Baskerville was an all-purpose player at LSU but doesn’t have the power necessary to plug up running lanes at the next level. His calling may ultimately be on special teams.
