NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo reports the Giants have signed Mason Crosby to their practice squad and he will kick for them in Week 16 against the Eagles.
Crosby will be elevated from the practice squad to the active roster over the weekend. Cade York is dealing with a leg injury and is done for the season after being placed on the practice squad injured reserve. Crosby was most recently with the Rams. He signed with the team ahead of Week 14 and was called up to the active roster but did not attempt any kicks. Crosby’s first kick with the Giants will be his first of the 2023 season.
  • FA Kicker #3
The Rams released K Mason Crosby.
Crosby was signed by the Rams prior to Week 14 and elevated to the active roster, though he did not play. It seems the Rams prefer to continue rolling with Lucas Havrisik at kicker while Crosby will now be looking for a new team to kick for.
  • LAR Kicker #3
Rams declared K Mason Crosby inactive for Week 14 vs. the Ravens.
Despite being elevated from the practice squad on Saturday, Crosby will not kick for the Rams this weekend. Kicker Lucas Havrisik, who has struggled in recent weeks, will get another opportunity to stick in his current role, but fantasy managers who opted to give Crosby a go after Saturday’s announcement will want to get him out of their lineups before kickoff.
  • LAR Tight End #89
Rams declared Tyler Higbee (neck) inactive for Week 14 against the Ravens.
Higbee was listed as doubtful heading into the weekend but has officially been ruled. Brycen Hopkins will likely take over in Higbee’s absence, but he can be left off the fantasy radar this week. In addition to Higbee, the Rams also declared K Mason Crosby, LB Ochaun Mathis, S Quentin Lake, OT Warren McClendon, and DE Earnest Brown inactive against the Ravens.
  • LAR Kicker #3
Rams elevated K Mason Crosby to the active roster for Week 14 against the Ravens.
According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, Crosby is preparing to play in Sunday’s game against the Ravens. The veteran kicker was signed to the Rams’ practice squad earlier this week after Lucas Havrisik missed two field goals and an extra point in the team’s last two games. As long as he’s nailing kicks, Crosby should have a chance to win the starting kicker job for the Rams for the remainder of the season. He converted on 25-of-29 field goals with the Packers last season, with three of his misses coming on attempts from 50-plus yards.
  • LAR Kicker #2
Rams signed K Mason Crosby to the team’s practice squad.
It appears the playoff-hunting Rams are done with Lucas Havrisik, who has missed two field goals and an extra point over LA’s past two games. Crosby has been vocal about returning to the NFL after the Packers parted ways with him last offseason in favor of Anders Carlson. Crosby, per Garafolo, is expected to be moved to the Rams’ active roster. Crosby should be fantasy relevant on a Rams team that leads that NFL in field goal tries (33).
  • FA Kicker #2
Saints worked out a group of kickers on Tuesday including Mason Crosby and James McCourt.
Crosby was ousted from Green Bay this year after 16 seasons following the drafting of Andres Carlson. The 39-year-old connected on 86.2 percent of his field goals last season and has nailed 81.4 percent during his long career. McCourt is a 26-year-old who has been on the Jaguars and Raiders’ practice squads over the last two seasons but as not attempted a field goal in NFL action. Current Saints kicker Blake Grupe popped up on the injury report with a groin issue, but has not yet been ruled out for this weekend, so today’s workout is likely just due diligence. For now.
  • FA Kicker #2
Rams worked out K Mason Crosby.
The longtime Packers kicker could compete with Lucas Havrisik, who signed with the Rams on Tuesday after the team released the struggling Brett Maher. Crosby, 39, made 25-of-29 field goals and 37-of-39 extra points with Green Bay in 2022. Whoever kicks for LA should be fantasy relevant. No team has more field goal tries than the Rams through Week 7.
  • NYJ Kicker #18
Packers selected Auburn K Anders Carlson with the No. 207 overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft.
The Packers, with longtime kicker Mason Crosby entering his age-39 season, may look to Carlson as the team’s next kicker. Crosby, a 16-year veteran, is only signed through the 2023 season. In five seasons at Auburn, Carlson connected on 72 percent of his field goals and 98.3 percent of his extra points. He could be used as a kickoff specialist in 2023.

  • Kicker #21
Packers activated K Mason Crosby (knee) from the active/PUP list.
Crosby, entering his age-38 season, had been placed on the PUP list following offseason knee surgery. The Packers’ all-time leader in points and field goals should be ready to go for Week 1 against the Vikings, barring practice setbacks. Crosby should once again be a useful fantasy kicker in 2022.
