Falcons signed sixth-round Georgia TE Martrez Milner to a four-year contract.
Looks like Arthur Blank and Rich McKay are back from Africa. Milner will play in an H-back role as a rookie if he can make the team.
  • NE Tight End
Alge Crumpler (knee, ankle) is listed as doubtful for Week 7.
It’s not like Crumpler has been doing much lately, but there was some hope he’d find more success with Byron Leftwich behind center than he did with Joey Harrington at the helm. Crumpler was unable to practice at all during the week, so his status going forward is also uncertain. Rookie Martrez Milner and Dwayne Blakley will likely share tight end duties at New Orleans.
  • NO Tight End
Falcons placed TE Martrez Milner (ankle) on the season-ending injury list.
The Falcons fourth-round pick this year, Milner was primarily a special teams player, but started two games and had nine receptions.
  • NO Tight End
Falcons TE Martrez Milner was on crutches and in a protective boot after suffering a high left ankle sprain in Sunday’s game.
The team didn’t reveal the extent of the rookie’s injury, but it doesn’t sound good. Milner is third string behind Alge Crumpler and Dwayne Blakley.
  • NO Tight End
Martrez Milner left Sunday’s game in the second quarter with a knee injury.
Milner took a big helmet-to-knee hit after making a catch and the sixth-round pick was carted to the locker room just before halftime.
  • NO Tight End
    Giants waived TE Martrez Milner.
New York will go with George Wrighster at the bottom of its tight end depth chart instead of Milner, a Bobby Petrino draft pick for Atlanta in 2007.
  • NO Tight End
    Jets released TE Martrez Milner.
The Jets just signed him two weeks ago, so they obviously weren’t impressed with his work in OTAs.
  • NO Tight End
Jets claimed TE Martrez Milner off waivers from the Giants.
Ex-basketball player J’Nathan Bullock probably hasn’t been tearing it up at minicamps. Milner won’t solve New York’s weakness at blocking tight end.
  • FA Wide Receiver #87
Saints waived WR Adrian Arrington, KR Skyler Green, RB P.J. Hill, TE Martrez Milner, DT DeMario Pressley, WR Courtney Roby, and LB Anthony Waters.
Waters lost out to undrafted free agent Jonathan Casillas. Arrington is an exciting practice player when healthy, but missed most of camp with a Grade 2 tear of his hamstring. He has practice squad eligibility left.
  • NO Tight End
Saints signed TE Martrez Milner, formerly of the Jets.
Milner, 25, is a catch-first tight end and won’t fill the hole created by Dan Campbell’s year-ending injury. Buck Ortega is more likely to make the club.
