Browns claimed CB Marquis Floyd off waivers from the Seahawks.
Floyd was only a training camp body for Seattle, but the Browns need all the potential nickel backs they can get, especially after parting with Corey Ivy. Mike Adams or Hank Poteat would man the role if the season began today.
  • DAL Defensive Back
    Browns waived CB Marquis Floyd.
Floyd was thought to be a potential answer at nickel back, but the Browns added a better special teamer in Anthony Madison.
  • FA Running Back #36
Cowboys signed RB Herb Donaldson, OL Travis Bright, LB Donovan Woods, and CB Marquis Floyd to reserve/future contracts.
Donaldson, who went undrafted in 2009, will try to hang on as Dallas’ No. 4 back behind Felix Jones, Marion Barber, and Tashard Choice. He’s a long shot for the 2010 roster. Woods will get a good look as a special teamer.
  • SEA Wide Receiver
Seahawks signed WR Michael Bumpus, TE Joe Newton, CB Marquis Floyd, WR Billy McMullen, LS Ryan Senser, DT Kevin Brown, and TE John Tereshinski to reserve/future contracts.
Bumpus and McMullen saw action for Seattle in 2008 due to injuries ahead of them. Bumpus can play the slot and return punts, but lacks much upside.
