Saints placed Mark Ingram (knee) on injured reserve.
In Week 13, Ingram attempted to play through the sprained MCL he initially suffered in Week 8. He re-aggravated the injury and was expected to miss the remainder of the season by the next day. With New Orleans all but out of the playoff hunt, Ingram is indeed done for the year. His season ends with 62 carries for 233 yards and a lone touchdown. He will look to sign a one-year deal as a backup in the offseason, though his days of being a fantasy-relevant option are likely over.

NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reports Mark Ingram (knee) is likely out for the season.
Ingram played in obvious pain during Monday night’s gutting loss to the Bucs, for some reason functioning as the Saints’ lead back for much of the contest. His recovery window would be about six weeks, meaning he won’t play again with the Saints all but out of playoff contention once again. Alvin Kamara should resume a bigger pass-catching role with Ingram sidelined.

  • FA Running Back #22
Mark Ingram rushed seven times for 27 yards in the Saints’ Week 13 loss to the Buccaneers, catching all five targets for an additional 22 yards.
Ingram appeared to aggravate a right knee injury in the fourth quarter before returning to the game on the following possession, only to stay on one knee on the sideline after his final catch of the game. Further updates on his status are expected this week as the Saints head to their Week 14 bye.

  • FA Running Back #22
Mark Ingram (foot) practiced in full on Friday.
It’s an upgrade from a limited session and likely just maintenance for the 32-year-old back. Ingram isn’t worth fantasy consideration at the moment with Taysom Hill taking up so much space in the New Orleans game plan.

  • FA Running Back #22
Mark Ingram (foot) was limited in Thursday’s practice.
It’s a new injury designation for Alvin Kamara’s backup, who had a knee designation for most of the last month before finally suiting up again. It’s possible this is just maintenance for the older back. Either way, Ingram retains little fantasy value with Taysom Hill as the league’s pre-eminent red zone vulture.

  • FA Running Back #22
Mark Ingram rushed four times for 10 yards in the Saints’ Week 12 loss to the 49ers.
Ingram saw his first action since Week 8 but offered little offensive production on the day. In his last three games, Ingram has managed just eight carries for 16 yards while adding another four receptions for 18 yards. Far from a fantasy asset, he can be kept off the radar heading into Week 13 against the Buccaneers.

  • FA Running Back #22
Mark Ingram (knee) is active for Week 12 against the 49ers.
Ingram was questionable heading into the weekend but will play in his first game since suffering a sprained MCL in Week 8. Ingram should resume his role as the RB2 behind Alvin Kamara but he’ll be hard to trust as anything more than a very deep FLEX play. The Saints declared WR Marquez Callaway, CB Marshon Lattimore, S J.T. Grayl, OL Lewis Kidd, DE Payton Turner and LB Pete Werner inactive.

Mark Ingram (knee) is questionable for New Orleans’ Week 12 game against the 49ers.
Ingram, as apparently every Saints player with an injury this week did, came back with three limited sessions this week. A Week 12 return would bode to be about the correct timeframe for Ingram to return from his sprained MCL. In the meantime, New Orleans boasting of leaning on Taysom Hill again this week does not do wonders for Ingram’s fantasy value. If he does play, he’s probably only a desperation deep-league FLEX.

Mark Ingram (knee) was a limited participant in Wednesday’s practice.
Ingram suffered a sprained MCL in Week 8 and was expected to miss just under a month of action. A Week 12 return would fall within that projected timeline. He would immediately reclaim his role as Alvin Kamara’s backup, though that is only relevant when Kamara is hurt. Ingram should not be rostered in most fantasy leagues.

  • FA Running Back #22
Saints declared RB Mark Ingram, LB Pete Werner, CB Marshon Lattimore, S JT Gray, OL James Hurst, EDGE Marcus Davenport, and EDGE Cam Jordan inactive for Week 11’s game against the Rams.
Every one of these players was ruled out on Friday. Ingram is dealing with a sprained MCL that has left him out for the last three weeks. Jordan is missing the first game of his career due to non-COVID injury. Andrus Peat (triceps) is active.
