Marcus Washington, questionable with a knee injury, missed Redskins practice Wednesday.
The first-time Pro Bowler is expected to suit up Sunday. Fred Smoot, Lavar Arrington, and Clinton Portis will not.
  • WAS Linebacker
With Philip Daniels injured, the Redskins have been giving first team defensive end reps to LB Marcus Washington.
Washington is a physical player willing to help the team out, but any move to a hybrid LB/DE role would hurt his fantasy value. Most likely, the Redskins are just experimenting with something in camp.

  • FA Wide Receiver #89
Redskins players Santana Moss, Mark Brunell, Philip Daniels, Renaldo Wynn, Marcus Washington, Randy Thomas, and Shawn Springs have all been fully cleared for training camp.
All except Wynn and Brunell are starters, so its welcome news for coach Joe Gibbs. Moss had a minor hip ailment during minicamps and OTAs. Washington and Springs are coming off surgeries and may practice once-a-day in camp.
  • WAS Linebacker
Redskins LB Marcus Washington dislocated his right elbow on Saturday night.
The Washington Post reports Washington left the game in “considerable pain” and was holding his right arm, which was “bent badly.” X-rays revealed no fractures.
  • WAS Linebacker
Redskins SLB Marcus Washington (hamstring) is not expected to play Sunday.
Veteran Randall Godfrey will make his first start in burgundy and gold.
  • WAS Linebacker
LB Marcus Washington (elbow) practiced fully Thursday and is expected to play in Week 1.
Defensive coordinator Gregg Williams said that Washington looked “excellent” in practice. Washington missed the final two preseason games after dislocating his elbow.
  • WAS Running Back
Redskins RB Clinton Portis (knee), SLB Marcus Washington (elbow), and LT Chris Samuels (knee) are all considered probable for Week 1.
We’d still sit Portis for a better option. His matchup against Miami is not favorable. Samuels’ return will be a boon to Jason Campbell’s protection.
  • WAS Linebacker
Redskins SLB Marcus Washington returned to a full practice Wednesday and is on track to start Sunday against New England.
Washington, who missed the last two games with a hamstring pull, racked up three sacks, 15 stops (10 solo), and a forced fumble before going down.
  • WAS Linebacker
Redskins SLB Marcus Washington (hip) fully returned to practice Tuesday.
Great news for Washington, who had hip and elbow surgeries this offseason. He may not be quite the same player as he once was in 2007, but it looks like he’ll be ready for the start of training camp. Mark Brunell (shoulder) said he would fully return to practice on Wednesday as well.
