    Colts waived DE Marcus Howard.
He won’t last long on waivers. Howard is undersized, but can collapse the pocket and will come very cheap. Teams in need of pass rushers like the Rams and Jaguars could give him a long look, along with ex-Bronco Tim Crowder.
  • TEN Defensive Lineman
According to Aaron Wilson of the National Football Post, free agent DE Marcus Howard is trying out for the Texans Tuesday.
Howard is a really fast defensive end (4.45 40-yard dash in 2008), but undersized at 6'0/237. Per Wilson, the Texans are also bringing in some more defensive linemen today as they try to plug holes in their leaky defense.
  • TEN Defensive Lineman
According to Aaron Wilson of the National Football Post, free agent DE Marcus Howard tried out for the Eagles Tuesday.
Howard, a speedy pass rusher, has been making his rounds since being waived by the Colts at final cutdowns. He had a workout with the Texans last week but left without a contract.
  • TEN Defensive Lineman
Colts agreed to terms with fifth-round DE Marcus Howard on a four-year contract.
A true late bloomer, Howard wasn’t on the draft radar until his 10.5-sack senior season for the Georgia Bulldogs. He’s a prospect to contribute in Indy’s DE rotation, but at 6'1/237 seems unlikely to ever be a full-time player.
  • TEN Defensive Lineman
The Colts plan to convert fifth-round rookie linebacker Marcus Howard to defensive end.
At 6-0 and 237 pounds, Howard is very undersized, although he’s just eight pounds lighter than DE Robert Mathis. With Dwight Freeney coming off another rough year, the Colts hope to get pressure from Howard, who had 10.5 sacks in his senior season.
  • TEN Defensive Lineman
Titans signed DEs Marcus Howard and Jay Moore, and OL Nevin McCaskill to reserve/future contracts.
Howard, 24, had two sacks for the Colts in 2008, but was out of football last year. He is a ‘tweener end/linebacker and will try to make the Titans as a situational rusher. Moore was San Francisco’s fourth-round pick in 2006.
  • TEN Defensive Lineman
Titans signed DE Chris Harrington and waived DE Marcus Howard and WR Phillip Morris.
Harrington will act as a preseason body while the Titans nurse their top ends back to health. Howard, a former fifth-round pick, has shown little in the pros. Morris was a 6-foot-4, 185-pounds project from South Carolina State.
  • TEN Defensive Lineman
Titans waived/injured DE Marcus Howard (triceps).
He’ll go on injured reserve after clearing waivers.
  • TEN Defensive Lineman
Titans released DT Kareem Brown, DE Marcus Howard, RB Dominique Lindsay and OT Jeff Hansen.
Brown, Howard, and Lindsay all suffered season-ending injuries in 2010. The Titans are cutting off the fat under the new regime.
