I am getting hosed.” Lawton will already miss the first two games of the season due to a suspension, and all indications are that he won’t get a roster spot. Marcel Reece, Alex Daniels, and Manase Tonga are competing for the job.

Watkins caught eight passes for 90 yards in 13 games with Oakland last seasons. The Raiders have only dregs behind Louis Murphy and Darrius Heyward-Bey right now, which doesn’t say much for Watkins or Bodiford.

Tonga will fill in for starting FB Marcel Reece on Sunday if he can’t get his ailing ankle loose in pre-game warmups. A second-year undrafted free agent out of BYU, Tonga has never appeared in an NFL game.

There are no details on the surgery, though the Raiders do expect Tonga to be ready for training camp. He won’t be guaranteed a roster spot behind starter Marcel Reece.
