San Diego State senior CB Luq Barcoo has accepted an invitation to play in the East-West Shrine Bowl.
Barcoo (6'1/175) finished his San Diego State career in fine fashion, as he accounted for 55 total tackles (5.0 for loss), 0.5 sacks, nine interceptions and 16 passes defensed. The talented cornerback has a nose for the football, and if his physical measurements match up with what San Diego State has listed that would bode well for his NFL future. Barcoo was given a third round grade by Pro Football Network ahead of the New Mexico Bowl. A good showing on the postseason all-star game circuit would go a long way towards ensuring that he’s a Day 2 draft pick.

San Diego State senior CB Luq Barcoo registered his seventh interception of the season in Friday’s 17-7 win over Fresno State.
Barcoo (6'1/175) has been a ballhawk this season, and he is now tied for second in the nation with his seven picks. He is also tied for fourth-best in San Diego State single-season history. The last to record at least seven picks in a season was Damontae Kazee, who now plays for the Atlanta Falcons. Barcoo will look to add to his totals next Saturday when the Aztecs travel to the islands to tangle with Hawaii.
