Browns selected Ohio State C Luke Wypler with the No. 190 pick in the 2023 NFL Draft.
Wypler has ample experience in shotgun snapping, perhaps more than any other prospect in this draft. This gives him the confidence to quickly snap his eyes up and keep his head on a swivel looking for his spots. He is a patient center with a good understanding of how to pass off defenders and when to engage. Even when engaged he does a good job of staying on top of his feet, never lunging or taking himself out of the play with loss of balance. He needs to do better blocking at an angle as he doesn’t possess the quick slide to stay in front of quicker defensive linemen. Nevertheless, he experienced a lot of success while he kept the Buckeye Offensive Line in order. Wypler is a bit reminiscent of Matt Henningsen.

Ohio State received a verbal commitment from four-star 2020 G Luke Wypler.
Wypler was considered a strong favorite to commit to the Buckeyes, but he was also strongly considering Stanford, and had offers from several other high-profile schools. The 6-foot-3, 295-pound guard continues the strong run of 2020 commits for Ohio State, who now rank second-overall in 247 Sports composite rankings for that class. Wypler ranks third among guards in those same rankings, and 75th overall.
