Giants RT Luke Petitgout is questionable for week ten with a concussion.
He hasn’t participated in full contact practice this week. The suddenly struggling Giants offensive line can’t afford to lose this key member.
  • The Giants are expected to go after a left tackle this offseason, then move Luke Petitgout to the right side.
He played there in 2000 and 2001. Petitgout struggled badly this season.
  • Giants RT Luke Petitgout left today’s game with a concussion in the second half.
He didn’t return. Petitgout is probably New York’s best offensive lineman.
  • Giants T Luke Petitgout left tonight’s game with a rib injury and did not return.
The key part of the Giants line will undergo further tests to determine the severity of the injury.
  • Buccaneers T Luke Petitgout returned to practice on Saturday.
Petitgout only participated in individual drills and will be eased into full-team drills. The Bucs are being very cautious with the injury-plagued tackle.
  • Bucs LT Luke Petitgout (back) and MLB Barrett Ruud (knee) will not play in the team’s preseason opener Friday.
Anthony Davis will likely get the start in Petitgout’s place, with rookie Arron Sears at left guard. Petitgout’s back problems have become chronic. Ruud is expected to be held out of the game merely as a precaution.
  • FA Wide Receiver
Michael Clayton returned to practice Sunday after missing the Buccaneers’ preseason opener.
The backup wideout had been dealing with a muscle strain in his leg. Left tackle Luke Petitgout also returned to practice, albeit in a limited fashion.
  • Giants GM Jerry Reese ripped current Bucs left tackle Luke Petitgout on Wednesday, calling the former Giant “a marginal player for a long time.”
Reese certainly could’ve done a better job of filling the void after axing Petitgout, but he failed to mention that: “People act like Petitgout was the second coming. He never made the Pro Bowl, and I don’t think he ever was a first alternate. Now all of a sudden he’s the savior? That’s ridiculous.”
  • Bucs LT Luke Petitgout has missed four days of camp with a back problem.
The Bucs only say Petitgout has a “tweak,” but he’s had issues with the back for quite a while. It was a main reason the Giants cut him in February.
