Bucs RT Luke Goedeke (concussion) is expected to play in Week 6 against the Saints.
Center Graham Barton (hamstring) has been ruled out. Goedeke has been out for a few weeks with a concussion. Head coach Todd Bowles said he will play, “barring any setbacks.” Overall, the Bucs are getting healthy ahead of their divisional matchup with the Saints.
  • TB Wide Receiver #10
Buccaneers ruled out Trey Palmer (concussion) for Week 5 against the Falcons
The Buccaneers are without their Nos. 3 (Jalen McMillan) and 4 (Palmer) WRs this week, condensing the passing tree to star wide receivers, Mike Evans and Chris Godwin. T Luke Goedeke (concussion) was also ruled out this week.
  • Bucs DT Calijah Kancey (calf) will not play in Week 3 against the Broncos.
Head coach Todd Bowles also ruled out right tackle Luke Goedeke (concussion) and safety Antoine Winfield Jr. (foot/ankle). Justin Skule will start at right tackle, but Bowles noted that the Bucs could use a rotation to fill Goedeke’s spot. Kancey has now missed the first three weeks of the season because of his lingering hamstring issue.
  • NYG Guard #64
Bucs LG Aaron Stinnie is working with the first-team offense at the start of camp.
Stinnie is competing with rookie Luke Goedeke for the starting job. Goedeke opened camp working with the backups and appears to be behind in the competition. The Bucs remain loaded, but they took a hit at guard this offseason. Stinnie or Goedeke emerging as a quality option would be a big boost.

  • TB Tackle #67
Bucs traded up with the Bills to select Central Michigan OL Luke Goedeke with the No. 57 overall pick in the 2022 NFL Draft.
Goedeke (6'5/312) started 25 games at right tackle after beginning his career as a tight end. That late switch means Goedeke has a lot of room to grow. His lack of length will always be an issue (11th percentile arm length), but he competes with the best of them and has the power and speed to make it in the NFL. He excels the most in the run game (94.3 run block rating per PFF) where he can drive through defenders. His short arms do let him down in pass protection at times, though, and many foresee a switch to the interior where that won’t hurt quite as much. That is also where the Bucs need help, so guard should at least be his initial position at the next level.
