    Bengals released QB Logan Woodside.
The journeyman quarterback will look for a backup role elsewhere. Also waived/released by the Bengals on Tuesday were CB Jalen Davis, DT Travis Bell, CB Nate Brooks, WR Cole Burgess, OT Devin Cochran, HB Elijah Collins, DT Carlos Davis, DT Domenique Davis, C Nate Gilliam, TE Cam Grandy, LB Devin Harper, LB Shaka Heyward, C Trey Hill, WR Shedrick Jackson, S PJ Jules, WR Kendric Pryor and CB Lance Robinson.
  • ATL Quarterback #11
Falcons declared QB Logan Woodside, CB Clark Phillips, LB Tae Davis, OL Jovaughn Gwyn, DL Albert Huggins, DL Joe Gaziano and P Pat O’Donnell inactive for Week 8 against the Titans.
We haven’t heard of most of these players. The Falcons remain amongst the healthiest teams in the league.
  • ATL Quarterback #11
Atlanta declared QB Logan Woodside, CB Clark Phillips, OL Jovaughn Gwyn, DL Eli Ankou, TE John FitzPatrick, DL Albert Huggins, and DL Joe Gaziano inactive for Week 7 vs the Bucs.
Woodside will serve the No. 3 quarterback while DT Ta’Quon Graham returns after missing the last two games.
  • CIN Quarterback #11
    Titans waived QB Logan Woodside.
Beaten out by Malik Willis in camp, Woodside will likely return to the team’s practice squad if he clears waivers. He completed 26-of-44 passes for 201 yards and was picked three times in preseason action. Handed the backup job last year rather than really beating out an incumbent for it, it’s hard to imagine Woodside getting claimed. He has just three NFL pass attempts in two seasons with the Titans.

  • TEN Wide Receiver #15
    Titans re-signed WR Nick Westbrook-Ikhine to a one-year contract.
The Titans also re-signed quarterback Logan Woodside and defensive lineman Teair Tart. All three were set to be exclusive rights free agents. Normally the team’s WR3, injuries to Julio Jones and A.J. Brown thrust Westbrook-Ikhine into a larger role last year. He posted a 38/476/4 receiving line while being credited with seven starts. Westbrook-Ikhine proved capable in a limited role and should be able to stave off any competition for his WR3 gig in 2022.

  • Quarterback #19
Titans signed QB Matt Barkley, formerly of the Bills.
Barkley – who spent the past three years in Buffalo, appearing in five games in 2020 – should slide in as the Titans’ QB2 behind Ryan Tannehill. Logan Woodside is Tennessee’s other backup QB, but Barkley’s experience figures to give him a leg up. Barring injury, Barkley is unlikely to see the field in 2021, but he could become relevant if something happens to Tannehill.

  • FA Quarterback #14
    Titans released QB DeShone Kizer.
Tennessee wasted no time clearing up their QB room, as they cut Kizer immediately after adding Matt Barkley to the roster. The 24-year-old’s last game appearance came in 2018, but he was reportedly challenging Logan Woodside for the Titans’ QB2 job before this news. He’ll now be on the hunt for a new home, while Barkley and Woodside will duke it out for backup duties behind Ryan Tannehill.

  • FA Quarterback #14
ESPN’s Turron Davenport reports QB DeShone Kizer has a chance to win the Titans’ No. 2 QB spot.
Davenport hinted Kizer has the edge on QB Logan Woodside because his “skill set is very similar to Ryan Tannehill’s in that he can make most of the throws and is adept at making plays on the move.” Kizer, who served as Tennessee’s “quarantine QB” in 2020, has 11 touchdowns and 22 interceptions since entering the league with Cleveland in 2017. He comes with some rushing upside; in 2017, he rushed 77 times for 419 yards and five scores in 15 games for the Browns. Kizer, of course, would be a disaster for Titans pass catchers if Tannehill were to miss time in 2021.

  • CIN Quarterback #11
Titans signed QB Logan Woodside, DE Amani Bledsoe, RB Dalyn Dawkins, LB Nigel Harris, TE Parker Hesse, C Daniel Munyer, DB Kareem Orr, OG David Quessenberry, WR Trevion Thompson, and RB Shaun Wilson to reserve/future contracts.
Woodside spent the year on the Titans’ practice squad after giving his career a bit of a jolt in the defunct AAF with the San Antonio Commanders. Dawkins is the nephew of Brian Dawkins and had a small taste of the NFL at one point this year when Derrick Henry missed Week 16. Wilson appeared in five games for the Bucs in 2018.
  • CIN Quarterback #11
    Titans waived QB Logan Woodside.
With arguably the league’s top backup in Ryan Tannehill, the Titans were always unlikely to keep three quarterbacks. A 2018 seventh-rounder, Woodside got a chance in the AAF but didn’t show much. He was decent enough this preseason, completing 46-of-76 passes (60.5 percent) for 539 yards (7.1 YPA), four scores and zero picks. He should be stashed on the practice squad.
