Alabama junior OL Lester Cotton was arrested Friday on possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia charges.
Police found marijuana and paraphernalia in Cotton’s vehicle following a traffic stop. Cotton was the starting left guard to open the year. He also started three games at right guard before moving into a reserve role behind Jonah Williams at right tackle. The Crimson Tide haven’t yet commented on Cotton’s legal troubles.

Alabama junior OL Lester Cotton (knee) has been ruled out for the remainder of the Sugar Bowl.
Cotton (6'4/319) injured his knee when he was inadvertently taken down while engaged in a block during the second half of Monday’s tilt against Clemson. He was able to walk off mostly under his own power and was then taken to the locker room. Should Alabama win the Sugar Bowl -- and that’s looking increasingly likely -- we would expect an injury update on the junior from the team during the National Championship Game practice week.

Alabama junior OL Lester Cotton (knee) has been ruled out for the national championship game against Georgia on Monday.
Cotton (6'4/319) was injured in the second half of Monday’s Sugar Bowl win over Clemson. He’s been working as the starting right guard for the Tide, making his loss a potential trouble spot against Georgia. J.C. Hassenauer will start in his place on Monday.
