Titans acquired LT Leroy Watson from the Browns in exchange for a seventh-round pick.
It’s hard to imagine this being any more than a move to add depth along the offensive line, as Watson has played on just 60 offensive snaps since entering the league UDFA in 2022. Watson saw 45 of those snaps come in last season’s Week 18 matchup against the Bengals. He also has familiarity with offensive line coach Bill Callahan, who coached him last season.

UTSA senior TE Leroy Watson is returning for the 2021 season.
Watson (6'5/260) has brought in 18 passes over the past two years. 14 of those receptions were in 2020 and netted him 176 yards. Oddly enough, Watson’s lone touchdown was in 2019, in which he snagged a two-yard pass to put six points on the board. Expect Watson to get at least as much play as he did in 2020, if not more.

UTSA junior TE Leroy Watson caught a two-yard touchdown pass during Saturday’s 40-26 loss to FAU.
Watson (6'5/260) caught his first touchdown pass of the season Saturday, and he has now caught four passes for 56 yards and a score. With starter Carlos Strickland set to graduate at season’s end Watson will be one of the players competing for the starting job in the spring. He’ll have one more chance to make a positive impression heading into the offseason next weekend when UTSA visits Louisiana Tech.

JJ Perez of 247 Sports reports that UTSA junior TE Leroy Watson has returned from the hospital after suffering a neck injury against North Texas on Saturday.
Watson (6'5/260) suffered a scary neck injury toward the end of the North Texas game on Saturday. Watson had to be brought off the field on a stretcher. He was briefly sent to the hospital for his injury, but as Perez reports, he has been released from the hospital and is on his way back to campus. The severity of Watson’s injury and how long he will be kept out is unclear right now. Expect updates on Watson’s conditions in the coming days.
