The team hasn’t put him on injured reserve, so they must expect him back at some point. He’s still “week-to-week.”

Arrington said he’s be playing if it was the regular season.

“It’s a little sore,” Arrington said, I just took a bad step and felt it in the first quarter and it tightened up on me but I was able to keep going and hopefully I’ll be able to do it again this week.”

Michael Barrow will try to return this weekend, but the Redskins linebacker group is thin right now.

Arrington was limited in practice all week, but should be ready to go. “We’ll see how he does [today], but we’re counting on the likelihood that he’s going to play,” coach Joe Gibbs remarked.

WLB’s generally have better stats, so the move is a boon for his IDP owners. With Marcus Washington locking down the strong side, Arrington will have more freedom to roam sideline to sideline and make plays. Arrington missed practice again Thursday, but will be ready for Sunday.

Arrington underwent surgery on his right knee a week ago. With Mike Barrow also sidelined, the Redskins depth has been tested.

“We’re making improvement, and he’s doing better,” trainer Bubba Tyer said. “But he’s not quite there.”

The fearsome defense also hopes to see MLB Mike Barrow makes his season debut soon.

“Obviously, if he’s 100 percent and he can play, he’s going to play,” head coach Joe Gibbs said after practice.
