Raiders signed OT Langston Walker, formerly of the Bills.
Walker, 30, can play right and left tackle, but will be tried on the strong side for Oakland, which is dealing with RT Cornell Green’s calf injury. Walker lacks good mobility, however, and fits the zone-blocking scheme poorly.
  • Langston Walker will start at LG for the Raiders on Sunday in Denver.
Walker is stepping in after Chris Morris’ play last week wasn’t as good as coach Tom Cable had hoped. Walker (6'8/365) may be the biggest zone-blocking left guard ever. He tried the guard spot two weeks ago when Robert Gallery was lost for the season, but, apparently, it was too “hilarious,” so the Raiders went with Morris. Charlie Frye won’t be laughing come Sunday.
  • Raiders LG Langston Walker left Sunday’s game with a right leg injury and did not return.
Third-stringer Chris Morris replaced him to the tune of a false start, a holding penalty, and a batted down pass the rest of the way.
  • Raiders LG Langston Walker (ankle) is listed as doubtful for Week 17.
Third-stringer Chris Morris will start in his place. Charlie Frye could be in for a long afternoon.
  • Raiders declared LG Langston Walker, third QB J.P. Losman, WR Darrius Heyward-Bey, RB Justin Fargas, QB Bruce Gradkowski, CB Chris Johnson and DE Greyson Gunheim inactive for Sunday’s game against the Raiders.
Charlie Frye is facing an uphill battle without Walker and Fargas.
  • Raiders RT Langston Walker suffered an undisclosed injury during the first quarter of his Sunday night game against the Broncos.
Trainers examined his head after he needed time to get off the field, which could indicate a concussion. Tackle Chad Slaughter replaced him; Walker did not return.
  • Raider RT Langston Walker may soon be replaced by rookie Paul McQuistan.
McQuistan practiced with the starters in pregame drills Sunday, but Walker started. Walker’s subsequent poor performance just may open the door for McQuistan.
  • RT Langston Walker has been cleared to practice after leaving Sunday’s game with a concussion.
Walker is not expected to miss any additional time.
  • Right tackle Langston Walker suffered a concussion during Week 6.
He left during the first quarter of his game against the Broncos and did not return. Reserve Chad Slaughter replaced him and was called for four false starts.
  • Raiders RT Langston Walker suffered an apparent injury Sunday.
Walker’s status is unknown at this point. His direct backup is guard Brad Badger with Chad Slaughter starting for injured Robert Gallery.
